Yellowstone during the winter time is a very different place than during the summer. Most of the park is closed and the only way in is on snowmobiles and tracked vehicles or cross country skis and snowshoes for the more adventurous. The buffalo and wildlife are much more docile and more concerned with surviving than bothering over-anxious tourists taking one too many pictures. The scenery is no less spectacular though, and the park, although not deserted, is quieter than during the summer months. The spring waters still run deep blue and rainbow colors. The steam still jumps from the ground and the wildlife is too numerous to count.

Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks for stopping by!
