I only had one day to explore Sydney, but in that time found it to be one of the mos beautiful settings for a city I've ever visited. From the downtown core, to the parks, to the suburbs, to the beaches, the whole city shimmers next to the water. Even within such a large city there are large green areas and quiet beaches on the inlet from the Pacific Ocean. The green and fertile land around Sydney though stood in stark contrast to the colorful desert-like landscape of the interior of Australia.
