Coming from the center of Alaska, Richardson highwasy sweeps south past the volcanoes of the Wrangell Field. This album takes a long detour into Wrangell-St Elias National Park and Preserve to the abandonded mining town of Kennicott, before rejoining the main highways at Glenn Highway. From there we pass the Matanuska Glacier and down the valley all the way to sunset in Knit Arm just north of Anchorage.
